On November 18, 2024, Michelle Balmeo holds a sign during the teacher strike at 1820 Pacific Blvd SW, Albany, OR. Teachers are advocating for fair pay, smaller class sizes, and better student resources in the district’s first strike in nearly 40 years.





November 17, 2024, The original courthouse in Albany was his courthouse remains a landmark in the city, reflecting Albany's rich history and architectural evolutiondestroyed by fire in 1861. A second one was built in 1865, and the current courthouse was completed in 1940. The clock, originally installed in the 1899 courthouse, now stands as a historic feature of the present building.




Megan Earl, a barista at Dutch Bros in Albany, OR, has been with the team for six months. Originally from Scappoose, she loves meeting new people through her work.  November 24, 2024.

Its What I do - Book Report by Seth Willy

  Lynsey Addario’s, It’s What I Do, offers a look at the highs and lows of a photojournalist’s career. One of the most compelling anecdotes in the book occurs when Addario recounts her time in Afghanistan, capturing the lives of women living under the oppressive rule of the Taliban. What stood out to me was her encounter with a young woman who, despite the extreme danger, found the courage to speak out about her struggles. This moment summarizes Addario's talent for building trust with her subjects and her ability to capture emotional stories in some of the world’s most dangerous regions.   LBCC Activity Center Mineral on November 9th.    Mural artist Rip Cronk designed and painted this larger-than-life piece in September 2016. It showcases four former LBCC student-athletes: Kendrick Abraham (Baseball), Tyger Liner (Men’s Basketball), Samantha Rouleau (Volleyball), and Kyia Duvall Student Legacy Park, Oregon State University, November 10th. Photographer is unknown. Photographing the OSU lacrosse team as they defeated the Trees. He mentioned that he enjoys doing sports photography and it’s his favorite thing to do.  Oregon State University Campus in front Strand Agriculture Hall on November 10th. A bronze sculpture representing Alice Biddle, the first woman graduate of Oregon State University in 1870. Biddle holds a rolled document, which may be her diploma in her right hand. Commissioned through Oregon's Percent for Art in Public Places Program, managed by the Oregon Arts Commission.
